Title 26 Guardian Ad Litum (GAL)
I can be hired to be the eyes and ears on the ground for a family court judge. GAL provides comprehensive assessment of the family as a children's advocate. GAL professionals have different credentials and backgrounds; many are attorneys, some are from the medical field, and others are mental health professionals like myself.
With my unique background in child protective service and child welfare, I have a trained eye for child safety, including physical and emotional maltreatment. I have completed hundreds of psycho-social evaluations during my professional career. I conduct thorough, engaging interviews with all parties involved to better understand the landscape of the family dynamics. My final evaluations and recommendations are highly sensitive to the developmental needs of the children in the family's cultural context.
Fee
Services based on a retainer, hours depending on complexity of the case.
